Good workout

First really warm day today – blue skies and warm air. Legs had recovered at last so a decent workout was possible on the bike. Had an average heart rate of 154 (inside lactate threshold zone) for 1hr14mins. Started at Laundry and used Chris’s course with his time as a Virtual Partner on the GPS. Beat him by 1.36km – hope he gets more viruses as this seems that only way I can beat him at the moment! Later – in the evening – Chris went out and managed to improve by 3km – so my success was short lived – but is was good fun. This is the last training run before the race on Sunday – rest is the best preparation from now on. The quality of the workout was good so resting is important now to allow the body time to adapt and take advantage of the training.
