Lac d’Annecy

Water 3.2°C Takes a while for the face and neck to get past the cold “burn” and feel comfortable. Just a thin wetsuit feels remarkably warm for swimming even at this temperature. My goal is working on swimming at the moment  – and it’s a choice between swimming or cold adaptation. Doing both doesn’t really work.Christiane is just working on “cold adaptation” – where the cold strengthens the parasympathetic autonomic nervous system (vagal response).
