Day one. Haluk is straight into the off-piste and all the old habits!!!! It was a bit wind packed on the surface and there were hidden ridges from the piste machines which were made to trap the snow (to stop the wind blowing it away). Bit of hip rotation at both the start and end of each turn – which is where the glitches are coming from.
Stunning view over the ridges into the valley at Champagny. La Plagne is on the furthest ridge and I live on the other side of it. 
Sea of clouds due to a temperature inversion – it was colder at 2500m altitude than at 3500m altitude.
