Gareth experimenting with pulling back the outside hip during the turns – managing to use both dynamics and pivoting simultaneously with a clean turn transition due to the hip being pulled back to prevent blocking, tension rotation at the hips. There could still be more active use of the spine and clearer integration of the core, hips and legs – lets call it “internal dynamics” – to match the external dynamics.
The Chi-Hips are allowing Gareth to achieve a symmetry that was never available to him before when carving… Big slab avalanche in Tignes – nobody hurt… People on the steeps on the North face of the glacier – big risk going there today!
