Sandi + Danni day 3

Working on Side Slipping, Pivoting (pole support), Dynamics and Skating.

Sandy had to adapt to skiing with new technique while dealing with anxiety (related to previous injuries).
Ultimately things worked out well – understanding the solid use of the pole plant in pivoting and the need to skate for timing and good dynamics. In the video the rhythm is good, flexion at the hip is visible and good, extension of the outside leg is clear. Be careful to avoid the arms “pushing down” (like when I was supporting you though the pivot) – that’s a legacy from your previous form of skiing. Try to increase the dynamic inclination as your confidence grows – you don’t need to flex at the hip all the time. The photo below is just to show a very obvious extreme because this just makes it all very clear.

Danni is skiing very confidently, the skating/dynamics (inclination) are very clear with arms held naturally at hip height in front and out to the sides. The “pole touch” is appropriate.
