Everyone in the group had skied before but with negative results – so there was a genuine desire to learn differently and carefully from the start. Puja did very well progressing from being completely unable to step at all when sliding to managing basic parallel turns on her very first attempt. It helps that I never actually told anyone that this is what they were aiming for or actually doing.
Vijay had a very noticeable alignment problem so we had to change his boots and met a very strong and obnoxious resistance to this from the Sport 2000 shop at Belle Plagne. However the boots were successfully changed and correspondingly made a big difference.
