Leona was given three strategies for dealing with steep slopes – Sideslip, Feet Forward Technique and Lower Ski Stem leading to using the inside ski of the turn as a brake.

Mark succeeded in integrating good hip angulation and control of body rotation with correct overall dynamics – linking together tight turns on a steep slope.
The key to succeeding was when the inside arm of the turn being completed was thrust downhill during the turn transition into the next turn. This is generally not visible to the eye.
